Stator Kit Fits:
|Norton:||Commando, Atlas, Dominator|
|Triumph:||3TA, 5TA, T100, T110, T120 Pre-unit, T120 Unit (see special note below), T140|
NOTE: For the Triumph T120 Unit/T140 - models with a separate inspection cover in the clutch cover. the x4 threaded bosses protrude inwards and may touch the end of the new rotor supplied. The remedy is to remove a small about of material using a 'power file', or similar grinder from the inside of the threaded boss - typically 2mm. - see images above.
NOTE: A battery is NOT required to run the ignition or lighting but advantageous for brakelight or indicators.
Total output is 65 watts approx 80% is supplied to the bike as AC as the lighting has the greatest power requirement. The remaining 20% is to charge the battery (if required), this would normally be used for brake light and horn hence why a very small battery is required.
OPTIONAL KEY SWITCH (SW01K): Recommended when handlebar switch is not used. Switch has 2 sets of change over contacts allowing the black/white stop wire from the CDI to be connected to earth which will cut the ignition. The second set of contacts can be used to control lights - see related products below.
- Replacement for Lucas or Wipac alternator. Complete digital self generating and alternator, pre-programmed advance curve gives optimum performance for the 4 stroke twin engine.
- No battery, contact breaker assembly or distributor required for the ignition.
- Simple timing set-up align marks on the rotor and stator.
- Supplied regulator/rectifier is 6v or 12v selectable by cutting the blue wire. Output is DC to charge a small battery - see notes about battery in Fitting Instructions tab above.
- The battery can be replaced with a PP12 capacitor pack - see related products below, this is more reliable than a battery but has limited energy storage. See notes about battery in Fitting Instructions tab above.
- Rotor is supplied with a taper locking collet, enabling the rotor to be fitted on the 3/4" crankshaft without the need for a woodruff key, this allows system to be fitted even if keyway is damaged. The rotor can be fixed in any position making timing easier to set up.
